Jack and John welcome a longtime friend to the show, Mr Jerry Greer. In this episode we get an in-depth look in to the book publishing business as well as a lively discussion with Jerry about his photographic journey and his thoughts on creativity.
Jerry Greer is an award-winning photographer from Johnson City, Tennessee. His internationally-acclaimed images have been published world-wide in books, calendars, magazines, and conservation and advertising campaigns by 
clients such as Outdoor Photographer, View Camera, Backpacker, Mountain Bike Action, Recreational Equipment Inc., Royal Robbins, The Conservation Fund, Pew Charitable Trusts, Earthjustice and The Southern Environmental Law Center; among many others.
His photography focuses on natural history, conservation and the environment of the Blue Ridge and southern Appalachian Mountains, the Piedmont and Atlantic Coast, and other natural areas of North America.
Jerry D. Greer was introduced to the wonders of the wilderness at an early age, and this eye-opening introduction guides his photography to this day. Growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains bestowed in him a desire to protect and conserve their vanishing ecosystems. He uses his personal connections with wild places, together with a very contemplative eye, to create his beautiful and evocative imagery. His internationally acclaimed and award-winning images have been published in numerous books, calendars, magazines, and conservation and advertising campaigns. Some of his clients include The Conservation Fund, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Outdoor Photographer, WNC Magazine, Mountain Bike Magazine, REI, Royal Robbins, LL Bean, The Lyndhurst Foundation, Wild South, Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition and The Southern Environmental Law Center; among others. Jerry is the author and photographer of eight books and a yearly wall calendar. Jerry is also the owner of Mountain Trail Press. He lives in Johnson City, TN with his wife, Abbey and their daughter, Serén.
